The Garberville-Redway area is gearing up for a huge 4th of July celebration this weekend. Live music will start at 5 p.m. and continue until the spectacular fireworks display begins at dark. The event is fun for the whole family with free kids’ games starting at noon, great music, along with food and drinks. The Benbow Inn will be serving beer, the Chamber will be pouring margaritas, and Riverbend Cellars will be pouring their wines. The Garberville Rotary will be grilling up hamburgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers along with corn and turkey legs. Soroptimist will be serving taco salads, chicken skewers, and pizza. The Mateel will provide yummy desserts and the Town Square will have cheesecake with fresh strawberry and blueberry sauces. Kiwanis will have ice cream, snow cones, candy, and cotton candy. Boosters will be providing soda and other beverages. Most of the vendors are nonprofits that benefit our community.
Admission is $7 for adults, kids 2-10 are $3, and children under 2 are free. The shuttle will start at 3:45 p.m. from Garberville and Redway and cost $2 per person. Parking is still available inside the park for $30. If you have any questions please call 923-2613.
