Events start off with a poker run, open to all bikes, around 10 a.m., followed with a bike show and biker games. The Kaye Bohler Blues Band takes the stage at 5 p.m. Tri-tip, burgers, fresh oysters, and beer will be served all day by the fine Peg House staff. This year, we will gladly be accepting donation to our local volunteer fire departments.
Years of live performance and passionate study of rhythm and blues, jazz and down home blues have produced an incomparable world-class performer, singer and songwriter in Kaye Bohler. This bandleader always delivers a riveting show filled with grooving originals, swinging blues, funky soul and danceable R&B favorites. Whether Kaye brings her 4-piece rhythm section or 10-piece big band of veteran rhythm and blues musicians, her high impact show never disappoints.
More than 20 years of performance experience including touring Japan with American Can Can Review, the Pacific Northwest with the band Pele Juju, and countless concert, club and festival appearances up and down the California coast, has led Kaye to develop a well-crafted original show of tasty swing and high impact rhythm and blues. Having shared the stage with legendary favorites such as Bozz Skaggs, Tommy Castro, Johnny Johnson, Magic Slim, Sista’Monica, Rod Piazza, and others, she is posed to move into the spotlight of the greats in American Roots Music.
Kaye is noted as saying, “When I found the blues, I came home. The blues are the foundation to all the music I chose to sing and write.” Through the years one thing always remains true, that one intoxicating performance by Kaye Bohler, with her authentic rhythm and blues sound, will renew your soul.
Admission for the day is $20. For details, call 247-3507 or 925-6444 or email brickley@sonic.net.
