Sanctuary Forest invites you to join us for our popular Edible and Medicinal Plants hike in the Mattole River headwaters of Humboldt County on Saturday, May 23. Local herbalist Michele Palazzo will lead us through an upper Mattole River forest, and will focus on the medicinal properties of native and naturalized plants and their uses. This hike is considered to be of Easy to Moderate exertion. Hikers will meet in the Mattole Headwaters at 10 a.m. for this 5-hour hike. All hikes are free of charge. Donations are gladly accepted.
