Tie on your bibs, break out the wet wipes, and come to the first annual Southern Humboldt Great American BBQ Rib Cook-Off. Iron Chef Thomas Frazier has been challenged by SHUSD Superintendent Clif Anderson: Let’s see who in Southern Humboldt has the “Master’s Degree” in BBQ ribs!

The two chefs will face the test this Saturday, May 9, on the front lawn of South Fork High School in Miranda. The fun will begin at 11 a.m., and run ‘til done!

Come enjoy a day of festivities, great food (including vegetarian options), snow cones, metal shop gifts, ceramics and arts, face painting, goat bingo, and lots of other booths. Music will be provided by a who’s who of local musicians including Sadie Rix, the Clear The Room Band, Tom Lasbury and friends, and more.

This is a major fundraiser for the entire school. Please come and support your kids at South Fork High School and have fun with your friends and neighbors this Saturday in Miranda.
