This year was special for Garberville because our own Doug Smith was inducted into the Hall of Fame for the Community Service Award. This was the first Community Service Award ever presented. This is the 3rd Hall of Fame Award presented to Dragon Heart. In 2006, Shyla Sickels received the Student of the Year and Becky Rupp received the Instructor of the Year. It is a great honor to be picked from a worldwide membership.
The Creativity Team led by Captain, Kisa Rupp, gave a stunning performance. Only 14 schools sent creativity teams to this event. Our team came home with a 4th place banner and we congratulate them all for their hard work throughout the year!
