The combination of stupendous pitching and overpowering bats led to a pair of one-sided affairs in Miranda last Friday.

Ferndale 13, South Fork 3

Ferndale 15, South Fork 1

Backed by Miska Bessingpas Hamor’s rockets from the mound, Ferndale had it’s way with the Lady Cubs on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

South Fork didn’t help matters committing a total of 18 errors in the twinbill.

Ferndale improves to 7-1 on the season and remains neck-and-neck with Hoopa for the top spot in the Little 4 conference.

Ferndale 12, South Fork 5

Back-to-back homers by Chase Brodt and Ross Sutton in the sixth inning of game one was the cherry on top of the Wildcats’ sheer dominance of Little Conference foe South Fork last Friday.

Errors in the nightcap eroded the Cubs’ chances as Ferndale would score 12 runs on only three hits.

Ferndale improves to 5-3 in conference play giving them good grounding for second place. They are set to face the Little 4’s top dog St. Bernard’s next Saturday in Eureka.
