Northcoast Children’s Services will offer a fun-based series of half-day soccer camps that allow children a safe and friendly environment which introduces them to physical fitness and exercise. Children aged 6 to 14 can participate at their individual level of fitness. From beginner to the advanced player, children are grouped by age and ability with the goal of having fun in a safe environment to learn or improve their skills at soccer.

For many Humboldt County children, this is their first experience with athletics and exercise. NCS believes our camps promote a healthy introduction to a lifelong routine of exercise and physical movement that children need more than ever to put them on the path to lifelong wellness.

We have provided soccer camps through our Humboldt Recreation Program since 1978. We offer discounts to low-income families through a generous Campership program, thanks to the grant sources from the Arcata Foundation, Humboldt Sponsors, and the Humboldt Area Foundation.

Four camps will be held this year, at the Arcata Sports Center from June 16 to 20, and again from July 21-25; in Eureka at Washington School from June 23-27, and in McKinleyville at Hiller Park from July 14-18.
