A YouTube video of workplace dancing by two Fortuna California Conservation Corps volunteers and their boss went viral last week after write-ups on Gawker, the Huffington Post, and numerous local media outlets. They’ve also been seen on national TV outlets.

At the time of their interview with the Redwood Times the video had more than half a million views - increasing by roughly 300,000 in only 24 hours. That’s a level of notoriety previously reserved for the lesser Kardashians.

"Yesterday we were on Channel 3 news, we had a Skype interview with HLN, and we have another interview with Inside Edition," said Leonard Patton - one of the young men featured in the viral video. "It’s cool. We were just playing around, being our selves and being silly after work."

It’s not clear what impact this sudden fame will have on the lives of the young men in this video, but the Redwood Times asked Patton if (and how) he plans to leverage all of the attention he’s received.

"I’ve been involved with a lot of teen centers, and I’d like to give back to them. Everyone that’s helped me, I want to help them," Patton says.

You can find the video, pictured above, on any number of websites. Just Google "John Griffith Learns to Dance."
