Bring your friends and family out to Humboldt Roller Derby’s first double-header of the 2013 season. Come cheer on your favorite skaters (and meet the newcomers) at Redwood Acres’ Franceschi Hall on Saturday, March 30. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the first bout starting at 6 p.m., featuring Humboldt’s Widow Makers against Chico’s Viva Roller Derby. At around 8 p.m., Humboldt’s Redwood Rollers will take on the Bay Area Derby (B.A.D.) Girls’ Oakland Outlaws.

Tickets are currently on sale online at humboldtrollerderby.com, at The Works in Old Town Eureka, and People’s Records on the Plaza in Arcata. Ticket prices are $10 in advance or $12 at the door - if there are any left. Bouts tend to sell out quickly, so be sure to grab your tickets early.

Humboldt Roller Derby bouts are always family-friendly, and kids aged 10 and under enter free (with no ticket required).

As always, this event will feature entertainment by Humboldt Roller Derby’s very own dance crew, the Derby Darlings, and will serve microbrews generously provided by Mad River Brewing Company. Proceeds from beer sales will benefit Making Headway. A special thanks to Primal Décor for being an official sponsor of this first 2013 bout.
