Anyone interested in off-highway vehicle recreation can provide recommendations on management needs by attending a public meeting, Thursday, Feb. 21, at 6 p.m. at the Arcata Field Office, 1695 Heindon Rd., Arcata. Participants will be asked to share ideas and concerns, and recommend specific projects and funding levels that could be included in the preliminary grant request.
Those who cannot attend the meeting can send written comments to: Bureau of Land Management, 1695 Heindon Rd., Arcata, CA 95521, Attention: Bruce Cann or by email at email@example.com. The deadline is March 4.
Beginning March 5, the preliminary grant application will be posted on the Arcata Field Office website, www.blm.gov/ca/arcata and OHMVR Division website, www.ohv.parks.ca.gov, beginning a public comment period that closes April 1.

The BLM Arcata Field Office is currently using $65,000 in OHMVR funds to manage off-highway vehicle (OHV) use at the Samoa Dunes Recreation Area at the southern end of the Samoa Peninsula.
