Bob McKee was the guest speaker at last week’s Garberville Rotary Club. He talked about the Tooby Ranch lawsuit with Humboldt County that has cost him $6 million so far in legal fees. McKee believes the county has spent the same, if not more. McKee answered questions from the audience regarding the lawsuit and the possible outcome, which could mean that all the property would go back to McKee. The county is asking around $96 million in damages from McKee, who said, “They want to put it back the way it was.” The Tooby Ranch was originally 13,700 acres. His next court date is Friday, March 1 in Superior Court Room 4 in Eureka.
