On Sunday, Nov. 25, at approximately 2:30 a.m., 50-year-old Darlene Anne Teasley of Redway was driving her 1999 Ford F250 pickup southbound on SR-254 (Avenue of the Giants), south of Phillipsville.

Due to Teasley’s level of impairment, the vehicle exited the roadway and ultimately collided with a utility pole. She was transported by ground ambulance to Redwood Memorial Hospital in Fortuna with moderate to major injuries.

DUI is believed to be a factor in this collision. The California Highway Patrol Garberville area office is investigating this traffic collision.
