Agents located a commercial marijuana growing operation in the residence. They seized 121 growing marijuana plants that ranged in size from eight inches to three feet in height. Agents seized 13 pounds of dried marijuana from the residence.
When the Drug Task Force agents searched the garage they located evidence of a marijuana butane hash lab. They seized 359 full cans of butane fuel from the garage.
Agents arrested Diana Rostow, age 30, for cultivation and possession for sales of marijuana, manufacturing of a controlled substance and maintaining a residence for distribution of a controlled substance and for violation of probation. Dylan Davis was arrested for possession for sales of marijuana and for manufacturing a controlled substance. Rostow and Davis were both transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and their bail was set at $500,000 dollars each.
While agents were at the residence they noticed a possible electrical fire hazard with the indoor marijuana cultivation in the bedroom. Agents contacted the Humboldt County building and planning department, who then responded to the scene. After inspecting the electrical wiring associated with the indoor growing operation, it was determined that there was a possible fire hazard. PG&E was contacted to have the electrical power turned off to the residence.
This case is still under investigation by the Humboldt County Drug Task Force.
