Hand-painted silk by Tina Gleave will be displayed at the Mateel Art Cooperative Gallery, for Arts Alive and ongoing. Her focus is floral studies, gallery wrapped wall art and silk scarves.

Tina moved to Humboldt County in 1993 to attend Humboldt State University to study art therapy. She found that her strength was art, not psychology. She parted ways with art therapy and earned her business administration degree.

Tina found her “art passion” when she found silk painting. She is currently exploring new silk painting techniques and has studied under master silk painters, Russian born Natasha Faucault and Washington native Karen Sistek.
