There will be a benefit for George and Amber Danson and their family at the Mateel Community Center in Redway on Monday, Aug. 13 from noon to midnight featuring New Riders of the Purple Sage, Elephant Dub Brigade Feat: Judrum, Mykal Somer & Knights of the Van Duzen and D.J. Ignite.

Silent auction prizes will include a signed guitar donated by New Riders of the Purple Sage and there will be a 50/50 raffle, food and drinks.

Sadly, George has recently been diagnosed with late-stage liver/spleen cancer. His time is very limited and while he lived so generously his wife and children are now preparing for a future of financial challenges. Amber is due to give birth to her fourth child in September. As friends and fellow community members, we want to alleviate some of the financial burdens that are weighing heavily on their family.

The benefit will be a family-friendly event. Help is needed with cash donations for the band, the venue and the family. Also food donations, donations for the silent auction and raffle and gift certificates will be gratefully accepted.

Please mail all cash donations and gift certificates to 201 Ocean Ave, Ferndale, CA 95536. Two free tickets will be given for every $100 cash donation.
