On Friday Aug. 3, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., The Hemp Connection will host an evening of electric didgeridoo music, as part of Arts Alive! in Garberville.
Ettersburg resident John Hardin will bring his didgeridoos, electronic devices and stereo sound system to The Hemp Connection’s garden patio on the corner of Redwood Drive and Maple Lane to demonstrate his high-tech approach to the world’s most primitive wind instrument.
Playing his didgeridoo through synthesizer-like circuitry and electronic effects, Hardin creates an other-worldly sound that envelops the listener in mesmerizing waves of throbbing vibration.
He will also display a selection of intricately cut lanterns that he makes from recycled tin cans.
