Several members of Southern Humboldt’s “Clan Anderson” joined hundreds of exceptional athletes for the 60th Annual Portland Highland Games in Portland, Oregon.
Clan patriarch and Redway resident, Clif Anderson -- along with daughter, Britt, and son-in-law, Adam -- participated in the Kilted Mile amidst a grandstand of Scottish culture enthusiasts from around the world.
A fan-favorite, the Kilted Mile is a celebrated tradition of the games in which competitors must wear the Scottish kilt while running the timed race. This was Anderson’s first time competing in the games, and he is already planning on returning to represent Southern Humboldt in next year’s Kilted Mile.
