Monte was a truck driver his whole life, starting at the age of 18. He met the love of his life, Judi Bloomer on a blind date on August 9, 1985. They were married a year later on August 9, 1986.
He achieved his life-long dream of living in a small town in Montana by moving to Libby in May, 1996. He was a logger, flatbed hauler, over-the-road dump truck driver and aviation fuel truck driver.
He was a hard-working man who believed in supporting his family by any means possible, even if that meant being on the road all week long, moving to Iraq, or working in the oil fields of North Dakota.
Monte’s first love was of cowboys. He participated in rodeos as a teenager and always had a horse in his pasture. He was also an avid motorcycle rider and fulfilled another life-long dream of becoming a Harley-Davidson owner in 1998.
His passion for music began with his family. He was a self-taught guitar player, had his own band, and wrote many songs as he drove the highways. He sold his song "Eagles and Angels” to Paco Martin who recorded it on the album" Imagination."
He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Amanda Jo Bloomer.
He is survived by his wife, Judi, at the Bloomerosa Ranch, Libby; son, Ryan, of Clinton, Montana; daughter, Tianna Joy and granddaughter Hannah Bloomer Shriner, both of Libby; brother, Ron and Tina, of Ukiah, California.; nephews and nieces Leon, Jesse, Jeremy, Carolyn, Evan, Ericka, Adam; sister-in-law, Joy Smith; brothers-in-law, Chip and Paul Vandertill; and several grand nieces and nephews.
