Music will be by the Bayonics, Asha Nan, and Stickman and the Starfish. The Bayonics will be doing a special set for kids, and Asha Nan is planning an interactive drumming experience.
Bayonics are an 11-piece powerhouse from San Francisco’s Mission District that defines today’s Bay Area experience, fusing the musical genres of hip-hop, Latin music, funk and reggae with elements of rock and jazz. They have been described as a fresh, hip-hop influenced revival of legendary groups like War and Santana, continuously expanding and melding genres to match the evolving cultural landscape.
The music of Asha Nan pulses out a soulful blend of Brazilian, African, reggae, funk, and hiphop grooves. Their music supports positive lyrics of peace, unity, and spiritual transformation.
The group’s musicians, Mike and Yemaya Kimmel, Tim Randles, Jimmy Foot, Jeff Thomas, Saundra DelCastillo, Colleen Robinson, and Greg Stokes, come together from mixed generations and backgrounds to create a communal musical experience reminding people to celebrate unity and diversity. Asha Nan radiates organic life energy.
Come and enjoy the music, games and clowns from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the Beginnings meadow.
There will also be the world famous Beginnings pizza bread available.
Admission is $5 for kids ages 5-12 years, $10 for kids 12-18 years and $25 or best offer for adults. For more information call Beginnings at 923-3617 or visit beginningsbriceland.org.
