If we are attempting to stay on the path to wisdom, an intelligent opinion is called for considering our present circumstances: Shall we give aid to nations that are worse off economically and politically than we are?
This question cannot be answered by a mere wave of the hand or answering one or two questions at a press conference.
It also does not help that congressional, executive and judicial branches of the national government (along with some state governments as well) who have failed in executing their moral responsibilities for the fine American citizens of this vast and great county by intentionally allowing the domestic political and monetary policies to decline into the unparalleled dysfunction of today.
It is highly desirable for us to do our part in improving the quality of life in our society even though the national government has no interest in the matter. And this lack of interest appears to be permanent.
We will succeed (with the help of some inspiration and wisdom) with this difficult effort regardless of the pessimism that some citizens, television stations and radio talk-show hosts are currently afflicted with.
