Marilynn was born Dec. 3, 1932 in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Big Pine High School and later met and married Robert L. Evers. They lived in Truckee, CA and later moved to Alderpoint.
Marilynn and Robert were married for 43 years until Robert’s death in 1994. Marilynn was always a stay-at-home mom and later loved spending time with her three grandchildren Jennifer, Megan and Cory Bushnell.
Marilynn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Evers; first granddaughter, Jennifer Bushnell; parents, Daryan and Alys Ferguson; brother, Jack Ferguson; and mother- and father-in-law, Alice and Dean Briggs.
She is survived by her daughter and husband, Angie and Mike Gillam of Garberville; son, Norman Evers; grandchildren, Megan and Cory Bushnell, both of Redway; cousin, Gayle and Peppy Van Essen of Temple City, CA; lifetime friend, Betty Causey and family; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to Humboldt Domestic Violence Services c/o Jennifer Bushnell Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 969, Eureka, CA 95502.
