Dr. James Kim Bauriedel was the guest speaker at last week’s Garberville Rotary Club. He joined the Eureka Rotary Club in 1981 and retired from active urologic surgery in 1997. Since then, he has been traveling the world making it a better place. With the help of many others, he has been able to provide Siberian hospitals and medical centers with over $2,500,000 in medical equipment and supplies. He is currently working on providing disabled children in Russia with outdoor exercise equipment. Once these children become too old for parents to move and transport, they are sometimes ignored until they die. With Bauriedel and Rotary’s help more outdoor areas are being built to help these kids have a better quality of life.
