The South Fork cross-country team ran in Eureka last Tuesday against 55 runners. Kyle O’Rourke ran 18:13 placing 10th and Gabe Miclette ran 18.52 placing 17th, moving up three positions from the week before. Ian Ivey, who is new to the team, ran 19:44 placing 25th, and David Chadbourne ran 21:10, placing 36th.

Coach DJ Miclette said, “Both Gabe and David started the season about a month ago and both improved their times drastically from McKinleyville’s meet. Gabe improved by 40 seconds and David was up by almost a minute from their first meet. The conditioning they are doing is working really well. We are looking forward to going on to Arcata this Tuesday, where we will take Kyle, Gabe, Ian, and David and give them a run for their money. We will continue to pump up the conditioning and get ready for County, which is on the 7th of November.”
