* Chamber of Commerce presents the Garberville town trick-or-treat. Gather at 3:30 p.m. in the parking lot at Ray’s for the costume contest, judging begins at 4 p.m. Scream contest follows immediately after.

* Halloween Bash with Saint John and the Sinners at 9:30 p.m. at the Riverwood Inn in Phillipsville. Costume contest, midnight buffet. $10 per person.

* “Helloween Party 2” at the Vet’s Hall in Garberville after the merchant trick-or-treat. Homemade treats, games for small children, costume contest where everybody wins.

* Halloween Boogie at the Mateel Community Center, co-sponsored by KMUD, featuring music by Ozomatli. Doors open at 7 p.m., music begins at 8:30. Tickets $37 in advance, $40 at the door if available. For more information, 923-3368.
