Some districts did not attract any new candidates, but the incumbent members indicated their willingness to serve another term. The incumbents on the Briceland Community Service District, the Garberville Sanitary District and the Redway Community Services District all filed their willingness to continue.
The incumbents from the Phillipsville, Miranda, and Weott service districts did not file for another term, nor did any new candidates come forward.
Among the fire districts, the Redway Fire District didn’t find any takers for its two vacant positions, nor did the Garberville Fire District, which had one vacancy. The Telegraph Ridge Fire District has two vacancies, incumbent Moses Danzer filed for one and the other went begging. There were no takers for the two vacancies on the Myers Flat district.
All but one incumbent filed for another term on the Southern Humboldt Unified School Board. The one not returning is Mark Schaffner, but William McClure met the deadline and filed for that vacant seat.
