SEAL BEACH, Calif. (AP) — SWAT officers discovered two bodies when they entered a Southern California apartment after someone inside called for help and neighbors reported gunshots and screaming.
Orange County authorities say someone called 911 Sunday evening requesting help at the apartment in Seal Beach. Police Sgt. Michael Henderson says the line went dead during the call. Shortly afterward several neighbors called reporting gunfire and screaming.
Police evacuated some neighboring apartments and ordered other residents to remain inside. Several hours later SWAT officers entered the apartment, where the bodies were found. No identities have been released.
Henderson said early Monday that investigators are expected to remain on the scene for several hours.
